AUTUMN HARVEST FAVORS

This year brighten your holiday table with this fun project that brings beautiful fall colors and fun treats to your Thanksgiving table.

Supplies Needed:
PAPERS: Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper
STAMPS:Autumn Harvest
INK:Classic Dusty Durango
ACCESSORIES:
1 3/8 inch Circle Punch
Scallop Circle Punch
Paper Trimmer
Snail Adhesive
Sticky Strip
Paper Crimper
Hemp Twine

1.Cut your patterned papers into 4 x 6 inch pieces. Add strips of Sticky Strip tape one 4 " piece along the short end and a 2 inch piece in about 1/4" from the first piece, along the top.

2.Remove the tape backing and roll the paper into a tube. Seal the edge. I over lapped the edge about 1/2 inch

3. Remove the backing from the short piece and press the edges together. Use a paper crimper to seal the end.

4.Fill the container with your choice of candy. You can fit almost 1/4" cup of m&ms in each one, or a few kisses or small candy bars.

5.Twist the container and put another 2" piece of sticky strip at the open end. Remove the backing and seal to close. Now you can crimp the end closed and punch a hole in one corner.

6.Make tags to decorate your containers. You can do these cute tags or make name tags and use them as place cards at the table. I used the Dusty Durango Stamp classic stamp pad and the Autumn Harvest stamp set. Stamp them on one of the light patterned papers and punch out with the circle punch. I inked the edges of the circles too. Use the scallop punch to punch out more designer series paper to mount the stamped circles on. Punch a small hole in the edge and tie to the container with hemp twine.

Bonus Idea ~
Use these same directions to make a fun countdown to Christmas. Make 24 twist containers full of treats or notes. Put a number from 1 to 24 on each of your tags. Gather all of them in a basket and add a label to the handle.

Compliments of Wendy Peatross.
